With Blood Comes Cleansing is a Christian death metal band that fails on many levels. The cd starts off with a typical intro , but this time their ready a Bible verse creepily. Wow , original points there guys. The cd then kicks into " Hematidrosis".It brutal , and unrelenting and filled with blatant spiritual themes. The harsh shrills screams are done fairly well but they overuse them on some of the songs. The deep almost pig- screams are okey but there have been better. The chorus of the song I did not like. It was a fairly week chant that did not set to whet my metal appetite . The song then picks up from there but not enough. One thing I noticed was the beginnings of the songs all sounded extremely similar. Its usually a quick drum beat followed by a high pitched squeel.
There are around three kinds of screams used on this cd - High winy shrills as mentioned above , deep pig screams , and more intelligible hardcore screams . The lyrics are horrible! Take any average crappy Christian hard-core band and increase there Christian content by four hundred. Look no further than the theme for this some-what concept album. It basically tells the story of Jesus and what he would have felt like on the cross. Although I myself am I Christian I did not appreciate some of the overtop lyrics such as whats found on " Eternareign".

Sure these lyrics would be okey for some worship album , but they dont really work on a death metal album. Sorry guys you lost it there! The other major problem with the cd is the repetetiveness of it . So many of the songs sound exactly the same . High pitched scream, than low growl , followed by a weak breakdown chant . I have heard this formula before .I was extremely tired of hearing these guys squeel at me for the half an hour or so this cd is . Speaking of length , the cd is also fairly short . I guess that is a good thing since it sucks so much.
If there was a highlight to this slop-fest it probably would be the drums . There nothing amazing but they help at least a little with all the crap thats being erupted from the speakers. There are actually a few good songs on here too. " The Suffering", is a fairly catchy song. The chorus kept going over in my head after I listened to it :

The day of his wrath will come on wicked men
The day of his wrath will come who shall stand?

Parts of the songs themself aren't bad but other parts are take the track " Horror ". It starts out okey but then continues to blow itself into the worst song on the record. His understandable vocals are " horrible". The other major fallback of the record was the unitelligbleness of the lyrics . It was horrible! I couldn't understand one word until I looked at the lyric sheet five times.
If you are a fan of this style of music look elsewhere. But if you enjoyed there last record get this one, cause its probably more of the same crap/religious spewing stuff.
